I met this fun gal back in high school, and honestly, I don’t think I’ve seen her in 6 years, maybe more! Yet, I know all about her, cause I might or might not be a stalker. Ok, ok, I just looked at her photo website once or twice. And she’s friends with my other friend veerkarb so it’s totally ok! Right?

Lilliput is my dear friend and commiserator…what would I do without her?? She makes excellent tea, plays a mean game of Rummikub, and always has good wisdom and insight! She loves the Lord and KNOWS why! She is awesome!

Look at Dana all pimped out in Anne Taylor LOFT…she’s been pimping like this since she was in the 7th grade…I know because that’s when I met her! What a great gal, and what an awesome friend. She secretly wants to be on Dancing With the Stars. Oops, secret’s out.

I remember Nate before he had facial hair…he was fresh out of Wheaton College, in love with my buddy Dana’s big sister Kara, and rearing to go. It took him a while to figure out how to get the youth group to shut up when he became the youth pastor at our church, but once he did, Kara decided to marry him. I was around 18 when they got married and I went to their wedding. Soon after we had a youth group lock-in and I saw them smooch. My mental notes were “Oh my gosh, they do IT now,” and “wow, I want to get married.” So I did, 6 years later. And we all lived happily ever after.

Kara was (and still is) big sister to my first Christian friend, Dana. Dana invited my family to church when we first moved to her neighborhood (I was in 6th grade at the time), and Dana, Kara and their family have discipled pretty much my whole family! She continues to be an awesome example to me, first as a high school student, then a college student, then a wife, and hopefully soon, a mom! I’ve been trying to copy her for close to 13 years! Kara is also married to my high school youth pastor. They have 2 beautiful daughters with fun hairstyles.

A fun, talented, strong woman of God. I love her and her sister!
